I grew up at my dad’s workbench.  He was a natural teacher; and my fascination led me to architectural drafting.  However, while working as a drafter I became increasingly jealous of the bookkeeper that came in for half a day on Friday.  Hence, my love of both bookkeeping and construction has led me to the obvious choice of bookkeeping with a focus on construction.

Construction requires bookkeeping that helps contractors track each job in addition to the business as a whole. Costs must all be accounted for to create an estimate.  As the project progresses, the budget should be compared to the actual costs to expose any unexpected costs as early as possible.  This will improve your customer satisfaction, your referrals, and your business.

  • Experienced bookkeeper with 25 years experience in a variety of bookkeeping settings.  As a result, I’m skilled at taking the provided information and organizing it in Excel or accounting/bookkeeping software.
